The Fantasy Art of Candace Bell

Hello everyone! The artwork wont stop! it just keeps on coming! Gotta rebuild that portfolio with recent stuff and need new awesome art to bring to ConnectiCon next year!  Anyway, have a work in progress (wip) of my next piece, I kind of felt like doing another equine. When I have enough I’ll make a calendar of them! This one is a tribute to the Gypsy Vanner, I LOVE those horses, id argue probably the most beautiful breed, and I wish I owned one!

Hes all tied up in ribbons! im excited to get started on this painting, so far as you can see I have just done the line work.

Here is something weird! a sort of artists relic of the past I suppose. I didn’t even know these existed! An electric eraser! My friend Avery brought it over for me. It has a chord you plug in, and a button on the side of the actual part you hold, and it spins the eraser around. Apparently they load with a very long pencil thin eraser and you just pull it down more as its used, and ti claps around it like a drill does to a bit lolI guess this is a tool architects would use to erase the pencil from their line work, which makes sense on the scale they work! still it seems like a silly invention to me, but its cool and I like it!

I have a updated progress picture of the new dragon painting. Im calling it “Flame Weilder” I think. Sort of a spin off of Keeper of The Light. I think its turning out pretty well! still have lots more work to do, but here is a sneak peek anyway!

I know I said something about wanting to make another equine painting, but the last one I did (Jack-o-Dragon) has me inspired to paint more dragons! and I am really loving the eastern vs western combination of dragon.  So here is a progress picture of the new painting, so far its just the inked version, need to start coloring it in! I hope to put allot of great detail in this one, same as I did in Jack-o-Dragon hehe. Got a good feeling about this one!

Yes! its all coming together so far! Did a bit of online shopping today! to finish up my list. I ordered some pretty book mark tassels for the bookmarks! so keep an eye out for when those become available! I will certainly be posting pictures of them when they do get in!

I also got my business cards today! They look pretty good, and I’m happy with how my image came out. I’m glad to have that up to date as well, it matched the style of my website!

Now to get back to making more paintings! I was thinking on some new equine stuff….

Jack-o-dragon is finished! I love how it came out, has a nice spooky feel to it! I put allot of work and detail into this painting and I’m fairly proud of it! I finally got out to Staples and Micheal’s craft store. So I’m crossing off things on the check list! Just a few more items to get for now. Still waiting for my business cards to come in the mail, but I chose a slow shipping price so it will be withing 21 days, bah! Oh well.  My bookmarks look great they just need tassels now! The rest of the items I guess Ill just have to order online.

I have another progress picture of my recent painting. Its coming along well but its taking time, since it turns out there is quite a bit of detail in this piece! But I’m loving how its coming out thus far, and I hope its finished within the next few days. I will probably put it up on eBay when it is ready. Keep an eye out for it.

And soon to get some of those things off my list… damn monies! I had meant to get prints and supplies sooner, but had some fraudulent credit card action, so we had to wait for our new cards to come in the mail. I hope to get some stuff bought and ordered tomorrow.

Hey everyone! working on my new painting. Just got the random idea to call it jack-o-dragon for now! not sure if Ill keep that name… but it works, may be a bit whimsical. I think its going to turn out pretty nice! I have a progress picture to show off for now! I’m sure Ill get more work done on it tomorrow. Id like to get it finished as Halloween approaches! Hes kind of a mix between the eastern and western style of dragons, with some long furs! I plan to make it look dark and spooky. Check back for updates on this piece!

I finally figured out how to get a decent shopping cart running here on the new website You can now easily purchase prints or originals via paypal, paypal also allows you to pay via a credit card ! I have set up payment buttons on the Prints Page and the Originals Page. Shipping for all items is a flat rate of $5.00 and purchase multiple items to save on shipping. I soon hope to be adding more products like bookmarks, its just a matter of getting down to the craft store and ordering some things online. Cant wait to do that! im excited to get things on a roll here.
